Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author and poet of children stories. Hans Christian Andersen has made many children story books, his books include “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”, “The Snow Queen”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Thumbelina”, “The Little Match Girl”, and “The Ugly Duckling”. Hans Christian Andersen delighted many children all over the world. Hans Christian Andersen’s poetry and stories have been translated into more that 150 languages.

In 1835, Hans Christian Andersen published his first book of fairy tales. Hans Christian Andersen died on August 4, 1875 at the age of 70, having never recovered from injuries he suffered from falling out of bed three years earlier.
